CYO Coaches Certification Training

to become a Certified CYO Coach:

Requirements: 18yrs for Assistant, 21yrs for Head Coach

Volunteers need to complete #1 and #2 below

1. Complete
and email a Criminal Background Check form to cyo@archsa.org (Allow up to 2 weeks
for processing)

call or email upon approval.

2. Complete the Following Virtus Trainings: Protecting God’s Children, Sexual Harassment Training, and sign
the Code of Conduct Acknowledgement form.

Note: If this your first time getting certified or if you were
not certified after August 2015, please follow directions listed in 3a. Coaches who are seeking
recertification, and who have already taken the “Coaching to Make a Positive
Difference” course, please follow directions listed in 3b.

Please
make sure you are taking the Looking in the Mirror course and not retaking the
How to Become a Coach course. Also, you can only access the course using the
link above. If having trouble registering, completely log out of Coaching
Coaches then follow the above link.
Once you have completed the required courses
(Protecting God’s Children, Sexual Harassment Training, Coaching Coaches), and
your background check has been approved by the Archdiocese HR Department, bring
your completion certificates to the CYO Office (2718 W. Woodlawn) to get your
badge. Our office processes badges Monday – Friday from 9am to 4pm. Thank you.
NOTE: Coach Badges will not be issued
after Week 2 of the summer season (July 29th)
